Contribute to Seedpod’s First Enhanced Anthology

Calling all writers, visual artists, musicians, dancers, filmmakers, thespians, crafters, makers, and other creators interested in contributing to a visionary artistic collaboration.

We are soliciting short works of fiction, creative non-fiction, and memoir to serve as inspiration for selected artists.

Your short story should be no more than 1500 words in length and should be a good fit with our other works (check out the free excerpts available for each book as well as our list of faves on Goodreads). There are no restrictions nor guidelines with respect to subject matter, theme, etc.

To be considered, all submissions must be received via our submissions manager. To maximize your chances of selection, please review and adhere to our submission guidelines. Selected stories will be paired with an artist with the intent of inspiring new work.

We are soliciting expressions of interest from artists wanting to be inspired by the written word.

All art forms are welcome. Especially unconventional forms are encouraged (we’re talking to you makers, graffiti criminals, light-painters, comedians). We are interested in your body of work, whatever that may be, as long as it represents you as an artist and creator and can be publicly viewed online.

To express interest in participating in our enhanced anthology, submit URLs to your online portfolio, video channel, or other representation of your work via our submissions manager. Selected artists will be paired with one short story intended to inspire the creation of new work for the enhanced anthology.

The submission deadline to be considered for this project is 11:59pm on June 30, 2012. Should your work be selected, you will be contacted for further discussions about the proposed use of the work and other details pertaining to a working relationship as part of the Seedpod Publishing collaborative. All submissions will be acknowledged via a confirmation email but please note: only submissions of interest will receive further contact.

Hello! I’m wondering if a story published on line (rights returned to me) a few years ago is eligible for inclusion in the anthology. Couldn’t find reference to “unpublished,” etc. Thanks! JO

Hello Jo. As long as you own the rights to the work you’re submitting, all should be well.
      We look forward to it.
